Tracks are very brittle, the connector easily crack. Evan has large muscles Dodgy

5 so far lol

Blimey, hope I never have to shake hands with Evan Almightly lol!!

Seriously, I can see the clips may be a bit weak as they are not solid, just the bare outline. Still at these sort of surprises what can you expect I suppose Smile

RE: Daiso Petit Trains - ActionChugger - 05-28-2016

He is almost 5, he still does the twist to "break off" the tracks. Even the Tomica trains, he just pulls or twist apart instead of un-hooking.
I keep explaining to him how to do it but no patience LOL

RE: Daiso Petit Trains - Nigels - 05-29-2016

That's kids for you, ironically the old Takara tracks I'm very fond of actually require you to twist them to both put them together and take them apart. The method of joining is a pin on one underside edge and a loop on the other edge, the loop fitting over the pin. This is actually superb as the track sits really flat without the 'ridges' you get if the say Tomy track is not sitting on an exactly flat surface. They also do not tend to come apart or lift as they are used. Still I suppose when they were originally released they had the hindsight of seeing the basic fault in the original Tomy design and could do something about it as they didn't need to maintain any backward compatibility Big Grin
