Plarail New Releases 2025 onwards (non-Thomas)

To add to the question..the engine does have traction tires too, so does it perform some action? An ultrs new train station is nice new and different with some kind of black thing/barrel on the platform. Can't wait for more information.

Now I don't know anything about the Harry Potter stuff having never watched or read it but what I do know is that a Plarail/Tomy release has long be waited for by its fan base and for me I love something new and different from Plarail and this sure is up there on the list. Also note that those exclusive PlaKid characters are holding a wand which I am guessing has some significance to the series?

The blob with text up top left beside 'NEW' says 'scheduled to be released this Summer'

The 'Hogwart's Express' locomotive is Great Western Railway 'Hall' Class number 5972 'Olton Hall', currently owned by West Coast Railways of Carnforth UK (famous for the setting of the 1945 movie 'Brief Encounter'), and the coach should be a representation of a British Railways Mk.1.

In the Harry Potter movie, Harry and his pals traveled on a 42 mile stretch of line in Scotland between Fort William and Mallaig, most famously crossing the Glenfinnan Viaduct which has become an international tourist attraction as a result.

Now if Tomy could make a Real Class Glenfinnan Viaduct for us, that really would be something.

You know me...I am all for new Bridges. 😁

I also have to assume that if its slated for a summer release..they are going to make the big announcement and we will get more info, video and pictures of the set in the upcoming Tokyo Plarail Expo.

No I'm not.

J.K.Rowling the author of the Harry Potter books, however successful, is in my view not a pleasant person and holds a number of social and political opinions with which I strongly disagree.

I am however a great fan of preserved British team Locomotives, so I'll be at front of the queue when this is released.

It seams as a great step in the direction of more British locomotives being produced by plarail, and I'm a big fan of the design!

The tender looks a bit wide but still, It definitely look like a 49xx! At least that way they were able yo keep the boiler nice and thin!

Given that Plarail has released R-17, which is a single-piece straight-rail arch bridge, them releasing a curve-rail arch bridge variant might not be too far-fetched actually
