Ahhh..that USB port is for Power...I thought it may have been for re-charging 🤔
I see where you're coming from, but to get batteries in these micro-cars as well as the motor, LED's, etc... would be a major achievement.  Besides its better to not have run time dictated by small on-board batteries in my opinion, also one less thing to go wrong Smile

Hi Folks,

Well here's the latest couple of cars I've added to my 1/32rd scale slot cars, from a mixture of manufacturers and covering various subjects as well.

First up we have a couple of movie cars;

Here's some pictures of 'KARR' the evil twin of 'KITT' from the classic 70's TV show Knight Rider...

Next up is the modern Batmobile from the movies, the cool one, not the damned "Tumbler" what a butt ugly sod was that one lol!  This car like the previously posted pictures of the Thunderbirds Pink Rolls Royce is big, I did put the model of KARR above it on a couple of pics to illustrate this, but its not as clear as I would have liked.  Fact is that it is probably a little bit bigger even than the Rolls Royce which in itself was huge.  Mind you both will soon be dwarfed by the new 2025 release that has been announced by Hornby/Scalextric which is a model of the Captain Scarlet SPV (Spectrum Pursuit Vehicle), this was a 10 wheeler with deployable caterpillar tracks on the rear.  This will also be accompanied by the Spectrum Patrol Car (SPC) also from the Captain Scarlet universe.  I'll add links to pictures of both of these at the bottom of this post...

Next we have the iconic Mustang from the John Wick movie franchise. a lovely depicted model in my opinion.

Finally a couple of more normal 'real world' cars, although all outstanding designs in my view which highlight just how good slot cars have got in recent years with the lift in quality and detail.

Firstly a Jaguar...

Followed by a beautiful Mercedes endurance racer, you just have to love the livery on this car, so detailed.

and Finally a Porsche endurance racer.

Lastly as mentioned above here's links to the Captain Scarlet releases due in Q4 2025, other 2025 movie releases include a whole slew of cars from the Fast & Furious francise including a full blown racing set as well as the individual cars.  It seems from what they are saying that these will be the first of potentially many releases for that franchise which if done right will look great and very colourful.  Although I doubt they will bother to recreate the under car 'neons', which will be a pity as it is possible to do this as I have a couple of cars from SCX that do have this feature - they were available under their 'tuner' range.

Captain Scarlet SPV

Captain Scarlet SPC

For those interested in Fast & Furious here's a link to the full list of 2025 releases.

Are these all motorized Slot Cars?
Yes super. they sure are and very fast as well. Most have working lights and other features. If you notice on the Scalextric cases there are a row of icons which specify what features that particular car has, these can include;

Super resistant - really meant for kids, lower level detail but can withstand numerous crashes without any major damage.

High Detail - Still race cars, but do have small added details such as wing mirrors, spoilers, windscreen wipers etc... which can get broken in a crash. Typically the Super Resistant will have blacked out windows whereas the detailed cars have full interiors including driver figures, dashboards etc...

Magnetraction - magnets mounted strategically on the bottom chassis to attract towards the metal rails thus keeping the car on the track on corners etc... at higher speeds. Sometimes these are removable as the extra downforce can slow them down a bit

Working Front Lights/Rear Lights/Xenon Headlights, some cars like police cars also have flashing roof lights and sirens even Smile

DPR - Digital Plug Ready, allows you to convert the standard analogue car to a digital car by removing a small blanking plate and replacing this with a small module containing a digital chip (bit like DCC on trains), these allow you on a digital track to pair a particular car to a particular hand throttle control. Then the cars can run on any of the slots and there are special track pieces that allow you to switch tracks to either try to overtake, undertake or block an opponent from overtaking. These little digital plugs are typically around £15-20, you can get ones suitable for saloon type cars, formula 1 cars and special modules that you need to wire in manually for older non DPR cars.

Quick Change Pickups - Easy to change plates carrying the braids so you don't have to dismantle or fiddle around to replace the pickups on the cars.

There's other features as well but I can't remember them all off the top of my head

I should have added that KITT & KARR even have the iconic strobing coloured lights on the front of the car bonnet (hood to you guys Smile)... And yes, I do have KITT as well as the Back to the Future Delorean Smile

Love the Batmobile. Are they still making these?
They sure are, I actually bought that new rather than try to find one discounted as they rarely come up on eBay and I wanted it to go with the 'classic' batmobile I've already got.

1989 Batmobile

1966 Classic Batmobile - Great model, only spoiled by them not including Robin in the car, just Batman (what were they thinking!!)

Other Batman items

All Film & TV items - Includes all the pre-orders, Fast & Furious, John Wick, Knight Rider, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Back to the Future, The Blues Brothers (another great car) and Shaun the Sheep lol!

On the subject of Film & TV slot cars, how about these which arrived from eBay today;

These are Imperial Speeder Bikes from the 'Return of the Jedi' movie, there was a set created some years back that had two bikes, one with a stormtrooper and the other with a rebel (can't remember who off the top of my head, either Luke or Leia).  But these came up on eBay the other day, both brand new/unused, £40 the pair, the riders on these ones are Luke and an Ewok (as seen in the movie);

Finally something totally unrelated to anything on this site, here's a picture of my new(ish) puppy Razor, he is now nearly 6 months old and already weighs in at 23.6kg!!  He's going to be a big old lad, someone to accompany me to the pub in the evenings when I go and to look after me if we get any undesirables near the house lol!!

Wait...the Star Wars Imperial Speeders are Slot Cars???

Razor is a cutie...love his mismatched ears ☺️
Yes, the speeder is on a base that has a motor mechanism in it, so they don't float like the movie ones, but give the impression they do up to a point.  They have working LED lights for the laser cannons as well lol

Razor is a total tart, the ladies love him and tell him how handsome he is, his ears are quite expressive, they do match, but at the time I snapped that he was a bit excited and they were flicking around a bit lol

I forgot to say Scalextric do have a USA operation, so if you wanted that batmobile you should be able to order direct from them at a reasonable price...

Ha...are you trying to get me into another collection? 🤨

Frankly, I didn't even know that Slot Cars are a thing now-a-days with all the R/C stuff.
