So apparently, you roll the motor car back and forward multiple times to "charge" (and there's a light inside to indicate how much energy is charged).
Once you done, you flick the switch (positioned the same as typical Plarail train) and the train will run. The more you charge, the faster and the longer it would run.
There are 4 trains, Shinkansen E5, E6, E7 and Doctor Yellow, released back in 2021.

As far as I can see from Japanese reviews.
Hunting Shinkansen for life (but not at all costs) :>

They certainly can. And the other way around:

So here it is. Four years after the release of the Tobu Railway 70000 in the "I love it too! Fun Train Series", we now have it re-painted as the Tobu Railway limited edition 70090 TH Liner.

The TH Liner is a limited-stop reservation-only service on the Tobu Isesaki Line and Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line, operating since June 2020.

Thank you Dr Chris, the new version does look nice.
I came across this video of the new Seibu 6000 train (limited edition, like all Seibu) and found it interesting. A nice little layout (with a particularly well-thought-out inner loop) represents several older Seibu trains, even implementing an auto-reverse unit on a new train (I think it's the one from the sushi set):

Limited edition Keisei Electric Railway Type 3000, to be re-issued on 23rd December, with even-more-limited 'pre-sales' the day before. The original came out on the 3rd October 2010, and was limited to 3,000 pieces.

The destination board on the original said 特急 上野 (Limited Express Ueno), while the new one appears to say 特急 京成上野 (Limited Express Keisei Ueno).  It remains to be seen whether the box will be up-dated with a contemporary design.

So Tobu, Seibu, Keikyu, and Keisei have all put out limited editions this month. Maybe things are picking up?
