Gold Thomas

Who actually has a Gold Thomas?
...or has even physically seen one?

the only place ive seen one is on the wikia. ive been searching on jauce for about a year, and havent seen one there. that doesnt mean they dont exist, but may have been extremely limited.

I saw a gold Annie or Clarabel coach last year on ebay, not the rest of the train sadly so it DOES exist

Are you sure they were gold and not 60th anniversary's in the right light??
Because I bought a pair of 60'th A&C's off of eBay a year or so ago that were listed without Thomas...
Weird thing was, after the auction ended I contacted the seller and asked what happend to the Thomas?
She said "oh.. it's here", "if you want it I'll include it for free".
WTH?!?!

Anyway I haven't missed a day of checking my saved searches on eBay for nearly 4 years, unless Gold A&C were listed as BIN and and were snatched up before I saw them...
With the exception of the photo that exists on the SunsThomas page, no one seems to even have box art packaging.

there are plarail japanese trains on jauce in gold and silver, so it wouldnt have taken much to make thomas the same.
id love to buy a few of the japanese ones, but the ones ive seen have been loose, and it wouldnt take much to damage the finish. even my metallic clarabel has a scratch or something on her face, and she was sealed in the box.

Yes maybe this Holy Grail is actually the Fountain of Youth!?!?
Or..if they made them I'm guessing there are only 50...

I've been hunting for this & the others I mentioned. I had a strong lead twice. but early in collecting. didn't have a lot of train knowledge back then. I have several strong contacts in Tokyo. if its out there i'll find it. the bottom line is this. I'm sure besides these that there are other trains out there that we do not even know about yet.
