Do you know if the tracks are really yellow or if they are painted?

Those are real, Tomy does make the rails in yellow.

I knew straights and curves were available in yellow, but not the slopes. Where can these be found?

I can only assume that, as Sunhuntin states, that various colored track pieces were available for sale at the Plarail Expos. There is currently a pair of yellow slopes Listed in the Japan Auctions for 4000 yen so they must be hard to find.

Only one set that i know comes with yellow slope is Takara Tomy Pla-Rail Run Away Thomas! Boulder Mountain Set.

You can get the whole set new on Amazon jp for not much more than that!
