didn't know where to put this.
so here it goes.

first, and foremost, i come here with respect, admiration, and acknowledgement.

but you are all so harsh? what happened to all of you?
i started out just like all of you. just like anyone of you.

you don't even give me a chance to respond. and close my threads.

ever try to purchase anything in "the far east" during their new year? good luck.

i respect religion, culture, and nationalities. always respectful, when it applies to these.

we all have a lot to share. i have some to share too. do you?

lastly, text has a way of being cold, distant, and uninformative,
i am none of those.

just saying.

i have some things coming in. cant wait to share. unless of course, i chose the wrong place to that?
Trevor, your comments surprise me and maybe I see it different than you but I have seen many members always helping you out with suggestions, information and/or Links where information can be found with the questions you ask so I don't see what brought that on. I also haven't seen anyone showing disrespect towards you and if I have missed something all you need to do let a Staff member know so it can be addressed. Now as far as you closing Threads you don't have the ability to do that, only the Staff can Close a Thread and all you have to do is ask. Sorry you feel this way and if you have any concerns please, don't hesitate to send me a Private Message so together we can work it out.

I closed the threads, one was clearly a spam thread with a link to a store that does not have a good record, the other/s had your questions answered but you persisted to press our members for more and more details of the most trivial things imaginable such as "define a Japanese sound?" We are not trying to disrespect you but we are also trying to stop the forum from filling with junk questions that can easily be googled.

very well. i apologize. please understand. that we were all once beginners.
although, i have been involved with these, or some of these toys, for years.
i, never take anything for granted. not even my own knowledge.
there is always something to learn.

as far as, a link/store front, that "I" suggested. i assure you that i wouldn't suggest anything, that i haven't tested myself.

furthermore, let me express what i meant by "japanese sounds". one who lives in ny,usa. does not have the knowledge of classifying a "japanese sound".

let me try to put it another way.

i have family in germany. some in the west, and some in the east.
although, our country has been unified for a few decades. to this day 1 side says "i'm east german" 1 side says i'm west german" there are surely different dialects. i assure you.

my point is. if someone came to me and said " i have a toy that has german phrases and sounds"

the first question i would ask is where in germany did you get it from?
that is because there are different phrases and sounds from east to west.
not going to get into north and south.

this applies to every country in the world. depending on size and location of course.

does this make sense?
OK.

Most people here do not understand Japanese and would not be able to distinguish between dialects of Japanese.

Generally, when people say "German phrases" it refers to phrases in any of the German dialects (including Swiss German even though Swiss German is different).

Therefore, "Japanese phrases" would refer to the same thing - sounds that are in any of the Japanese dialects.

If you really want to know, most Japanese trains operated by larger companies have sounds and announcement in Standard Japanese. This is the 'official' Japanese used by the government and the Japanese taught at schools.

As I am in school and learning Japanese there are 3 different types of Japanese language. Hiragana(most popular and easiest to learn) Kanji(extended version of Hiragana with different characters and Katakana(based on the Chinese language of mandarin) although there are three different languages but they all sound the same, They are all based on the a e i o u vowles and they are all combined into one entire language that we all know as Japanese.

Are we taking about stereotypical politically incorrect Asian sounds like "ching chang ping pang pong", or actual culturally different sounds like "warning" sirens, police and fire/rescue trucks, and such?
...like British police car's that go: "e-aw e-aw e-aw" as opposed to American sirens that go: "reeeeeer-reeeeeeeeer-reeeeeeeeer"???
